This message I copied from my good buddy Alonia's journal and just wanted to pass along the message. :(

So this morning !NinjaKato's account got hacked,  it says that they had deactivated their account!

If you go on their second account, ~Sterling-Kato, and here's the journal that I found... I suggest you guys ALL READ IT. This could happen to ANYBODY. here's what it said:

" CMy !NinjaKato account was hacked... and some fucker deactivated it! It was NOT ME. Guys... I don't know what the hell happened. Oh wait... yes I do. Someone posted a "This was stolen from [link]" on my latest image -- [link] (the image has been stored but the link should suffice) and I clicked the link because it was a link to a DeviantART page... it sent me to the log in page... next thing I know... my account is deactivated... and it's saying I have the verify my email address as fuckingbrony@something.com (I don't remember the email address exactly). It seriously happened so fast there was no time to investigate further... The first account was a bait account (sending out the message of accusatory theft to get the person's attention) then the second [link] account is the actual phishing account. It pulls some switch-er-oo and next thing you know your account is deactivated"

If you don't want to read the journal, here's what had happened.

Kato posted a drawing. A really nice drawing, may I add. They received a comment from somebody he has never seen before... Their username was ecpyugioh. (I suggest you don't go visit their page, just to be safe).

The comment said, "This was stolen from [link]." The link lead to a page on the dA website. Kato thought this was harmless, and I'm sure they was curious about the claim since Kato has never stolen in their life.

Here's a picture with the comment. You may click this link, since it's completely harmless and has nothing to do with dA whatsoever:

[link]

Now, as Kato clicked the link, they were brought to the dA login page. Strange, right? They tried logging back in, only to realize that somebody had hacked their account and deactivated it!

Screenshot: [link]

Luckily, they were able to change their password and get back into dA. Sadly, they have to wait 48 hours until the account is able to be re-activated. Since this is a holiday weekend, dA staff may not be back within the 48 hours, so they may have to wait longer.

I've seen this happen three times today, and I have just woken up!

PLEASE GUYS, do me all a favor!

If you draw an original piece, and somebody comments on it saying that it was STOLEN, DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK THEY PUT IN THE COMMENT, AND HIDE THE COMMENT IMMEDIATELY! Then report the comment to dA staff.

If you click it, that's it. Your account will be deactivated.

Please guys. Don't be stupid. If somebody claims that YOUR work is STOLEN, then there's something wrong.

Feel free to spread this journal around and alert your watchers about this. We need all the help we could get.

Be safe, guys. And be smart.

Holy crap. D: Thanks for the warning! Some people can be such assholes. I bet they think it's great fun doing this sort of thing.
